If your pendrive/memorycard/external hard disc have the same problem here is the solution for you.By following below steps you can completely remove the shortcut viruses from your secondry memory devices.
We use command prompt to solve this problem.
STEP:1
Initially you have to attach that particular Pendrive or Memory card to your PC which contains such viruses.
STEP:2
Now, when you see a pop-up window saying Open folder to view files do not click on to Ok button. Just select Cancel and stay away from your Pendrives data.
Step 3 :
Go to your Start menu and select Run option.
Step 4 :
Type cmd and press Enter which can get you a command prompt window.
Step 5 :
attrib -h -r -s /s /d f:\*.*
put this command on the command prompt and press Enter at once.
(Here we have assumed our Pendrive is f drive)
**NOTE:REPLACE NAME OF YOUR PENDRIVE WITH " f "
Step 6 :
This is it! You have successfully remove Shortcut Virus from your Pendrive.
After the above steps close all running program and safely remove your pendrive and reconnect it.Now your pendrive is free from shortcut viruses.
